Faithful followers of this blog will remember the “name that barrel” contest of two years ago. I bought a barrel of wine and asked for your most creative, amusing, insightful and just plain curious names to put on the bottle label. The result was Ranch Hands, which has been a wonderful wine for all who have been lucky enough to taste it.
But the Ranch Hands inventory is dwindling, so it is time for more. And that means a chance for another “name that barrel” contest!
As a reminder, the finalists in the last contest were:
“Drink. Enjoy. Repeat.”
“Shortcut.”
“Corner Pocket.”
“Covered Bridge.”
“Gazebo.”
And, of course, “Ranch Hands.”
Some of them have a family meaning, such as “Shortcut” being how Jedd always hiked and “Corner Pocket” being a reference to our family history with billiards.
So what are your ideas? I want to hear them — all of them! I’ll sort through the ones that seem best and then have a final round for you to vote on. Then we’ll send it off to the incredible folks at Steven Label and let them do their magic.
Thanks for your ideas and help!
