What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell
A collection of Gladwell’s magazine articles, each chapter is a different story and theme. Gladwell has the kind of mind that asks questions…he’s like a persistent four-year old always asking, “Why?” It serves him well because he has an active, perhaps even brilliant mind, and he does great research. His conclusions sometimes seem a bit far fetched, but he’s more often exposing us to new ideas than simply setting an agenda. I appreciate that.
This collection is sometimes a bit dated (many of the stories go back into the 90’s) but they are still well worth the time. Gladwell is always entertaining and interesting. If you like Gladwell’s other books, you’ll enjoy this. But if you haven’t read his other books, pick them up first and consider this a delicious dessert.
