So, I’m stepping into the blog world. It feels odd in some way, as if the point of this technology is rapidly losing its validity, yet I’m just now getting involved. I guess that’s a feeling that will become a regular part of my life now that I’m over 50.
I’m torn about how to utilize this blog. Any suggestions? I welcome that input.
One idea is to focus on stories. I’m reminded of Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s comment, “Ideas come and go. Stories stay.”
On the other hand, there is a great story about C.S. Lewis scolding J.R.R. Tolkien when he moved to a retirement community. To paraphrase, he said, “Why would you want to do that? The people living there only speak in narrative.”
Perhaps this will be a blend of both. Either way, it’s designed to simply be a collection of thoughts, ideas, stories and, when I feel like having fun, the apocryphal.
Blessings,
Roy
