We leave Italy soon and will be heading home. The last few days in Tuscany have been filled with great food, beautiful sights, shopping, and relaxing with a glass of Prosecco. The private tasting at a nearby winery was great fun, as was the multi-course meal at a restaurant in Montepulciano. Every scenic road around Sienna, Cortona, Montepulciano has been explored. We lit a candle in the cathedral in memory of those who joined Christ in heaven, “…we cannot be far from one another, though some may be in heaven and some upon earth.”
My October break is nearly over and I jump back into the world on November 1st. I’ll be sure to share some thoughts about my sabbatical time soon, and hopefully I’ll take some of what I learned and apply it to my “normal” life.
For now, I wanted to share a blessing from Celtic Daily Prayer which seems appropriate given that I’m concluding my international travels at the same time that I conclude the October sabbatical travels of my heart, mind and soul.
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you,
wherever He may send you.
May He guide you through the wilderness,
protect you through the storm.
May He bring you home rejoicing
at the wonders He has shown you.
May He bring you home rejoicing
once again into our doors.
Blessings to you all. See you soon!
