It Happened in Montana

My mom gave me the book It Happened in Montana by James A. Crutchfield, and it’s an appropriate title for the time I spent in Montana last week. Seems like we did a little of everything to enjoy the beautiful area where my brother and sister-in-law live. Thought I’d pass along a few photos, as well as a quick book review.

If you want to read a book about the history of Montana, Crutchfield has written a good one. Short and simple, it tells the interesting stories of the State from pre-history to Lewis & Clark to the Unabomber. I recommend it for anybody who might be planning to visit Montana because it will give some context to an amazing place.

With thanks to D’Aun for her great photography, here are a few photos of our trip:

My brother and sister-in-law's home on the East Boulder River.
A visit to the nearby Natural Bridges.
A beautiful 20" Brown Trout my brother caught.
Just trying not to snag my line. Actually, I did pretty well and caught several.
My mom, my niece Beth, and my sister-in-law Nancy.
Jedd fishing near the house.
A bit of target practice after fishing. My nephew Tony, me in the background, Geoff in the foreground, Jedd aiming.
One day we had lunch at the Road Kill Cafe.
My brother checking on the horses.
