I’ve asked my daughter, Rachel, to share an opportunity to help at-risk kids in Thailand through her organization The SOLD Project. PLEASE be sure to check out the links below her letter TODAY because the opportunity is for today only. I hope you can help!

Dear Friends,
My Dad asked that I share a few thoughts about how you can help prevent the exploitation of children in Thailand. Thanks for reading this and considering this great opportunity to make a real difference. Your contributions of time, money, and passion can have an impact on the lives of an entire community and, with your help, the story of how prevention is breaking the cycle of poverty and freeing children from a future of exploitation will continue to spread.
SOLD is excited to announce that, less than two years after opening our Resource Center doors in Chiang Rai, the number of students regularly attending after-school classes, workshops, and more has already outgrown our original building. This summer, we began laying plans for a second classroom building on the property. With blueprints in hand, all we need now are the funds to start building!
We’re also facing more immediate needs at the Resource Center. Tawee, our Thailand Director, shared that the brightly-colored desks that the kids have been using since the Center opened have fallen into disrepair from constant use and need to be replaced. Also, it’s become apparent we need to install a water tank on the property to help alleviate issues we’ve been having with access to clean running water.
Here’s where we could use your help: we have an opportunity to make serious headway on these projects today. Starting RIGHT NOW and all day today (October 19th), our partner GlobalGiving is matching all donations (up to $1,000 per person, per project) at 30%.
Let’s make this opportunity count! Please give what you can and, whether that’s $10 or $1,000, I’d encourage you to spread the word and invite your friends to join you. I’m confident that, working together, we can meet these needs quickly and give our kids desks and running water.
With gratitude,
Rachel Goble
