Last week in Belize was amazing. Seventeen PathLight students graduated from the local high school! It was great to see the PathLight students dominate the list of academic awards (even though only 17 of the 57 graduates were in the PathLight program).

To put it in perspective, the entire PathLight sponsorship program has 60 students in it right now…and that’s spread out over 5 different grade levels. Obviously word is getting out about the great work PathLight is doing with these students!
Now I have a challenge on my hands. For each student we accept into the program, I have to find a sponsor. And sponsorship for this high quality holistic program is not inexpensive ($2100 a year). PathLight has never been able to find more than 20 sponsors in a given year, so finding 68 seems … well, it would take a miracle. It’s certainly beyond anything I can do by myself.
So I’m seeking your prayers. I don’t want to deny an education to any student, but I also don’t want to be foolish about God’s resources. And I really don’t want to over promise something to the students.
What should we do? How many students should we accept? And which students should we accept? Your prayers, ideas, thoughts, wisdom, encouragement … I could use it all right now. Thank you!
