A blog titled Junkyard Wisdom should post something about cars every now and then, don’t you think? I came across this article from Popular Mechanics and found it amusing. It’s a list of the top 100 hottest looking cars of all time. A good way to waste a few minutes daydreaming.
Get a few car lovers together, have plenty of your favorite adult beverage available, and this list of 100 Hottest Cars of All Time will create all kinds of arguments and laughter. I admire Popular Mechanics for even giving it a try; it wouldn’t be easy to pull such a list together!
My personal favorites are all on the list, I think. There’s always something that I remember later and say, “Oh, wait, that should be added…” Still, I disagree on the rankings. Way too many Ferrari’s toward the top, and some Japanese models that shouldn’t be on the list at all.
If I were making the list, my top five would be:
– BMW 507, 1956-59
– Aston Martin DB9 (or any Aston Martin from the DB line)
– Ford GT40, 1964-69
– Mercedes Benz 540K, 1935-1940
– Jaguar E-Type, 1961-75
