Every now and then I find a good wine for sale online, and Invino recently shipped me one worth mentioning. Rarely do I buy a wine before tasting it first so my order was a risk. It paid off.
2010 Two Angels Cabernet Sauvignon is an affordable Cab with a balanced palate. You can taste the fruit, but it’s not so powerful it wipes out all the other subtleties. The back of the bottle says aromas of ripe berry, cedar and hints of vanilla. Well, okay, if you say so. I’m not good enough to capture all those nuances. But I do like the wine.
Of course, this isn’t a wine that is going to win high ratings from the critics. It’s not a Caymus or Fisher or other high end wine. But it’s a good solid wine that you’ll enjoy with a meal or even just sipping on it’s own.
Fortunately I bought the wine at first release and paid something like $18. Invino has a slightly higher price, but it’s still a good under $20 wine.
