It’s been a crazy Summer and continues into a crazy Fall, so I haven’t posted much about the book I’m writing. Between the fun of vacation, the hectic work at PathLight, and a few deals brewing at Goble Properties, I just haven’t had much energy to talk about it. So it’s time for a book update.
The book is progressing. Faster now than ever, actually. And it is coming together nicely.
Looks like it’s going to be 9 chapters, of which the middle chapter is really just one page long (a transition piece). We’re currently working on chapter 7 so you can see we’re making good progress. I’m especially excited about how chapter 1 and 4 came together, both really important points in the book.
To get it right, I’ve been sharing chapters with people involved with the stories in the book. It’s amazing how things morph over time and many of my stories are 30 years or more old. They range from the Sierras to Zimbabwe, from Hawaii to Singapore. D’Aun and others help me remember how things ACTUALLY happened, which is great, but I’m working hard to be sure the book will not contain errors.
One small publishing house has shown very strong interest. The founder/president likes the book idea and had very positive things to say, but it goes to committee soon. And a committee review can be complex. Hopefully they love it too.
I send out regular updates about the book and you can receive them if you subscribe below. Shoot, I might even give away a few freebies! Just enter your email address and you’ll get notifications as the process unfolds. Thanks!
