An acquaintance of mine asked if we are using my book Salvaged to help the new Leadership Institute at PathLight. As it turns out they are using it, and we had a fun conversation about how young leaders from a different culture might read my book.
All of which led to an exciting promotion idea this acquaintance is supporting: buy a copy of Salvaged and $50 will be donated to the PathLight Leadership Initiative. All you need to do is buy a copy of the book and forward the receipt to salvaged@pathlight.org. Then a $50 donation will be made to PathLight. Be sure to forward the receipt! Telling me or anyone else doesn’t count — the receipt must be sent.
And yes, you can buy any version of the book (ebook, hardback, or audio) and any number of books. The promotion will cover up to 120 books, which means $6000 could be raised to support these young leaders. One caveat — this is not retroactive, so receipts prior to May 1st will not count toward the goal. Still, it really is a win/win/win proposition!
So what is the PathLight Leadership Initiative? As you likely know if you read my blog, PathLight sponsors students through school with a wraparound model that includes a scholarship, tutoring, discipleship, hot lunch, bus fare, uniforms, books, counseling, etc. The Leadership Initiative was started to help those students who show exceptional leadership capacity. Grouped into cohorts, these young leaders are provided guidance both academically and experientially. It’s a great new program that I’m excited about.
Hope you can help! Buy your copy of my book then send that receipt to salvaged@pathlight.org please!
