Junkyard Wisdom Rebuilt is here!

Finally! It took months to get it posted by Amazon, but my third book is finally available for preorder! I honestly wonder if the guy responsible for uploading new products was stuck on a container ship somewhere. Took them forever! But it’s finally here.

Junkyard Wisdom Rebuilt will be released on March 10. I would love it if you’d preorder a copy!

So what is the book all about? The short answer is a better and continued version of my first book. But that doesn’t do it justice.

A couple of years ago I realized how quickly books can become out of date. My first book was primarily set in six nations: Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Belize, Haiti, and the USA. Over the last five years those places have seen two military coups, a couple of hurricanes, multiple government transitions, the shutdown caused by Covid, economic collapse in many industries, the rise of populism, millions of deaths . . . you get the idea.

I couldn’t help but think, as Henri Nouwen wrote, “If I were to try to prevent people from drawing the wrong implications from my thoughts, I might fall into the temptation of thinking that I know what those implications are.”

Thus Rebuilt. The world has changed, and my thoughts have changed, so the book needed to be . . . well, rebuilt. D’Aun came up with that word to describe the book. As old junkyard folks will know, a rebuilt car was a collection of parts pulled together into a whole. It takes the damaged and makes it alive again.

I put a lot into this book because I had so much to share. New stories, new ideas, and new perspectives. And to be completely transparent, in its own way it has new confessions.

Please order a copy and you’ll see what I mean. Thank you!
